Privacy, without the fine-print maze.
This policy explains what information ListYourSite handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to operate the directory, process bids, measure usage, protect the service, and respond to support requests.
- Listing information you submit, including a website name, URL, country, logo, and bid details.
- Payment and transaction details supplied by our payment provider, including customer name, email, provider customer ID, payment status, and amount. We do not store complete card details.
- An anonymous browser identifier stored locally to estimate unique visitors, plus aggregate outbound-click counts.
- Technical information normally included with web requests, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and request timestamps.
How we use information
- Publish and rank eligible website listings by cumulative verified bid.
- Create hosted checkouts, confirm successful payments, and prevent duplicate crediting.
- Display aggregate visitor and click metrics and improve site performance.
- Detect fraud, abuse, automated traffic, security incidents, and rule violations.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations where applicable.
Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform a requested transaction or provide the service, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with legal obligations, and, where required, based on consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting processing already completed.
Service providers
We use service providers to run ListYourSite. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Current core providers include Supabase for application data, Upstash for aggregate analytics, Dodo Payments for checkout and payment processing, and our hosting and content-delivery providers.
Cookies and local storage
ListYourSite stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser local storage to avoid counting the same browser as a new visitor on every visit. This identifier is used for aggregate measurement and is not intended to identify you by name. Payment providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies on hosted checkout pages.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, professional advisers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to operate the service, complete transactions, enforce our rules, protect users, or comply with law. Listing information is public by design.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including transaction records required for legal or accounting purposes. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can clear local storage through your browser settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Requests may require verification, and legal exceptions may apply.
Payment information
Dodo Payments hosts checkout and processes payment credentials under its own privacy notice. ListYourSite receives transaction identifiers, customer details, amounts, status, and listing metadata needed to verify and credit a payment. We do not receive or store complete card numbers, bank-account credentials, UPI PINs, or one-time passwords. Payment, tax, fraud-prevention, refund, and accounting records may be retained for periods required by law or provider rules.
International use and children
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers rely on contractual or other lawful safeguards made available by the relevant provider. ListYourSite is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; contact us if you believe a child supplied such information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, an additional notice. Send privacy questions, complaints, and rights requests to hastag2404@gmail.com. We may verify identity before acting on a request. You may also complain to the data-protection or consumer authority available in your jurisdiction. The operator must publish its legal identity and business address before representing this policy as jurisdiction-specific regulatory compliance.
